The drive takes about an hour. Transport services from Wanaka to the car park are available. Dogs are not permitted. No camping or overnight parking allowed.

Google will tell you it takes two and a half hours to get here from wanaka but it only took us an hour in our camper, just be wary of the fords if it has been raining! There's currently a slip between the lower and upper viewpoints but it's easy enough to circumvent. We're all adults, assess your risk and only do it if you feel safe. That being said, the upper viewpoint is in a whole different league to the lower one, absolutely stunning!
