Completed hike today. Took us 1hr 30 up and 1hr 15 down, we're relatively experienced hikers. Steep initial accent, then when you reach the ridge, you can really feel the wind. Quite slippery, muddy and a bit icy this time of year, make sure to wear proper boots and suitable clothing, not really any phone signal. Beautiful views at the top, 100% worth it. Oh and thanks to whom ever found our glove and left it for us 8-)

Just AMAZING ! We did it in the morning around 10am and didn't regret it ! We decided to do the loop that was written on All trails app, but I think that the second part from the summit doesn't exist anymore ? Well, after we did it, I can assure you that is better and more beautiful to the way back from where you came. The view is on the lake and is stunning all the way !

What a absolutely awesome place!!! One of the 5 best spots in New Zealand. You have to come up to the Lake Coleridge. The mere drive through this valley up to the lake is stunning. We will never forget this picturesque place! The way up to the ridge is a steep one. You will feel it on your knees especially on the way down :-) Then it becomes much easier. But it is every step worth! Leave the place just with your footprints please. So everybody can enjoy it like we did.
