Added to WikiCamps yesterday after visiting for a tasting. We met Sue, one of the owners and briefly Paul, the other. Sue was very friendly and we sat down for a tasting. She is extremely proud of her wine and what her and Paul have done, which was nice to hear, nice to hear the story. $5.00 per person for tastings of around 4/5 wines. Some of the wines were very good, we made a purchase, therefore one of our tasting fees wasn't charged. Most of the vineyards do not charge around Alexandra and we honestly don't mind paying a fee, if the experience is lovely, but for this area, I think $5.00 is too steep and both fees should have been withdrawn, not just one. After all, it's all coming out of the same account. We are part of NZMCA and this is also a POP, so we were able to stay the night.
