Description
Walk to Ball Hut with superb views of the Tasman Glacier and surrounding peaks. It is 9KM to Ball Hut.
The moraine wall throughout this area, including along the 4WD track, is very unstable and should be negotiated with caution. You will need to move with care and skill around collapsed areas at various stages along the route.

We did the ball shelter track in 5hours return but the second half after the second waterfall we where stock by rolling rocks. We enjoyed this hiking it's very pretty and sometimes dangerous!

Be careful, go to the DOC first to hire information as the track is very damaged and challenging !! Track level expert. However such a great scenery
