The Ohau waterfall walk is still closed after the earthquake, the track is locked and there are several notices, as well as security cameras to enforce the closure.
This free point of interest offers nice scenery, wildlife viewing and walking tracks.
No camping or overnight parking allowed.

Still closed because of 2016 earthquake damage and high rockfall risk. Will probably stay that way. You can still watch the seals on the shore from the newly build parking area and viewing platforms
