Description
COVID-19 UPDATE 14/05/20 - Under COVID-19 Level 2 - All Marlborough District Council Freedom Camping sites will remain closed.

Freedom camping permitted in both self-contained and non self-contained vehicles. Camping in tents is also permitted.
You may stay a maximum of two consecutive nights in any four week period.
Brown River Reserve is located adjacent to State Highway One along Ronga Road in Rai Valley
Take all rubbish with you and leave no trace.
Keep New Zealand clean. Always use the toilet in your vehicle or a public toilet.

Enjoy it while it last guys and gals! Draft 2020 freedom camping bylaw will ban camping at this site, effective as early as this summer.

Campsite open! Be careful with big rain but they'll come to tell you if it's dangerous ! Don't ask at the tavern, the lady is not nice and she told us that we can only camp at her camping !

Lovely campsite. Didn't get full a few days ago. Toilet is clean and the views are really nice.
