Description
Waipara Sleepers delivers a unique experience, providing accommodation in a selection of converted historic railway wagons. Each retains its original period features and sits on it's own piece of track, wheels and all! Nestled within a real country garden environment, we also have a converted Railway Hut, Cottage and a selection of powered and unpowered sites for campervans and tents.
Facilities include:
Camp kitchen. charming converted Railway Station which equipped to meet all your needs.
Shower & toilet block. All our showers are fitted with modern water heaters which ensure hot water is continuous.
TV Room. Here you can sit back and take in some of NZ on air or read a book even play a board game.
BBQ area. Sheltered from the elements with plenty of seating it's the place to be on a hot summers day or night.
Laundry. We have both washing machine and dryer (outside clothes line if you prefer). Our machines run on coin timer.

Small but nice clean site with a few powered spots, friendly lady owner with lovely big dog. The electric showers are ok ish but no hot water in taps to wash or shave. Reasonably quiet spot. Budget place at $25 two people with power.

Very friendly owner/operators and the carriages / bunkrooms at $25 a night are good value. Kitchen is great and housed in an old rail station type building. As mentioned the bathroom is basic but showers good and hot. Great experience!

Lovely campsite! Friendly owners cute cat and facilities are nice too. Spots is a mixture between grass and gravel. Not a lot camper spaces but thats okay. Obviously open now.
