A large DOC site with all the standard things you'd expect including flush toilets, treated drinking water, bins, and views! Everything clean and tidy. Heaps of parking space, and plenty of tent sites. Kea territory. Beware uncovered bikes, shoes, tents, and anything else outside. Awesome access to tracks, and a hot shower is a short bike ride away near the Visitor Centre in DOC Governor's Bush reserve and shelter.

Been here a few times now in the campervan. I always try and park near the top in a sheltered spot because it can get so so windy. Doc comes around and checks daily (sometimes twice). Pay online. So easy.

Absolutely loved this place. 3 toilets blocks so can park anywhere and even found a "private" spot at the very end. View is amazing and near most of the walks. Clean facilities. Heard some keas during the night but haven't seen any.
