Freedom camping permitted in CERTIFIED SELF-CONTAINED VEHICLES ONLY. Park in a legal manner in formed parking areas without obstructing footpaths or access.
The maximum stay for freedom campers at any one location is two consecutive nights (departure by 8.30am).
Take all rubbish with you and leave no trace.
Keep New Zealand clean. Always use the toilet in your vehicle or a public toilet.

Stayed here one night last night. Think we were the only ones. Was quiet enough, apart from when the trains go past which is all night. Earplugs are key! The recreation park next to the carpark is cool to use in the morning, nice place for a jog and some gym equipment. We did pick up a lot of litter though. Come on guys, keep it clean, keep it free! Nice spot but noisy because sometimes, there are train which pass next to the campground.

A nice site overlooking the water watching the boats go by. Quite a few trains in the night so use ear plugs!
