Great walk from car park with aventures river crossings and bridges and the hut is very nice

One of DOC's more glamorous huts. A tough 7hr hike uphill but spectacular with many breathtaking bridges. When you arrive the hotsprings are also panoramic and far exceeded our expectations. The main river is also minutes from the huts to cool down and wash mud off. It rained whole day on hike back meaning long sopping trudge. Think this is common.

Need booking, nice hut with lots of place. The hotpool are 2 min away. A warden is often here in cycle of three weeks. Long flat place for 8 people bed.
