For a standard level DOC Campsite this deserves its high rating. Directly on the shingle beach, you won't see the ocean from the site (maybe on a bus or pop top) but will hear the waves crashing. A 30 second walk will take you over/through the pebbles to the beach. Park or set your tent up between the trees, or on the grass. Excellent cell reception. 3-full bars of 4G coverage on Spark and 2Degrees. Side Hustle away next to the crashing waves. Flush toilet block basic but functional and very clean. Small community of residential houses facing the site across the street which adds to a sense of safety without being overbearing like you're in the wrong place. A bunch of walks at the North end of the beach lead up the headland.

Fantastic spot! Stoney beach, fresh water on tap. Cold showers and clean toilets (cleaned every second day). Super dog friendly with a couple of options for walks - along the beach to 'Blue Gum Corner' approx 1hr return. Or to 'Monkey Bay' approx 15min. Nice parks on gravel separated by big pine trees. Super chilled out campsite.

An awesome peaceful site with flushing toilets and cold showers. We walked over to Whites Bay which has a beautiful beach. You can also drive over there. Walked over to Monkey Bay and there is a surge pool there. Can probably walk through on a low tide. $8pp pn.
