I love this place. Yes a long gravel road to get there and reception is dodgy. Not much room and can be muddy. Cycle tour groups from the A2O often stop there. Stunning old woolshed and other historic buildings. Beautiful walks. Beautiful creek. It's worth making the climb up the hill where you can see Mt Cook, Lake Ohau and Lake Benmore. If you want to get away from it all for a wee bit it is recommended. Long drop toilet.

You have to drive 12km over a gravel road with a lot of bumpers in it. Takes you additional 30min if youre driving carefully. Beautiful location but it comes with a very scary old house next to the toilets. Just go and experience it on your own
