And why we had left all the doors open. We checked twice that everything was locked before we returned the key...he then mistakenly said he had unlocked the facilities for a reason (dog show)..but why accuse honest cyclists of leaving doors open? Shizophrenic! So don't support these grumpy kiwis and look for a different place to stay.

Werid set up, right beside a rugby club. We arrived just after 7 and luckily there was couple in the kitchen. We got a number and were advised you're meant to pay in the shop (opposite the railway, pink sign), nothing online or anywhere to know this. Rather abrupt phonecall and it was rather difficult to get information. For $10 pp the facilities are actually decent but we felt unwelcomed and we couldn't access them because you need a key. If they don't like customer interaction maybe have a honesty box at camp or advertise somewhere online or on camping apps to arrive before the shop closes.
