Did the hike today for the sunrise. Absolutely worth it ! Super hard, but worth it ! First part is 2200 step and after it's a little bit rocky. If you wanna go all the way to the top prepare yourself for the wind and wear hiking shoes (don't wear runnings it's too slippery). The woman from DOC that was in charge of the hut was lovely and good talk with her. If you wanna use the gas cooker over there it is $2, nice to have a cup of tea at the top !

Lovely hut ! Awesome sunset and sunset too, not to be missed ! Seen some keas at sunrise on the hut roof. There's gas (no stove or pot) and water, there's a sign "boil before use" but warden Franck told us it's fine to drink without being boiled. About the track, half part is stairs, second part is steep rocky route. DOC estimated 3-5h to go the hut.
