In light of the Government's decision to move to COVID-19 Alert Level 4 from midnight Wednesday 25 March 2020, our public campsites will be closing to visitors. No one should be freedom camping or staying in public places.

You may stay a maximum of 2 nights in any 30-day period.
Take all rubbish with you and leave no trace.
Keep New Zealand clean. Always use the toilet in your vehicle or a public toilet.

Gravel parking area for public access boat ramp, just off the main road. Suitable for CSC only. Fairly noisy from vehicle traffic. Views are quite pretty; you're right up against the water. Park in a way to be sure to not hinder access to the boat ramp.
