Very cool campsite. If you plan to go in winter make sure you have snow chains. It snowed overnight so we had to Chuck the chains on to get out !!!

Had a lovely night here the other eve, it had been raining the day before and the looonnnnggg unsealed road in was fine, some wet, sticky bits but don't be put off. We easily managed it in our long-wheel base Hiace. HOWEVER, it is a single track and we did have to move for a tractor and a lot of sheep, we wouldn't feel comfortable taking anything bigger down there, but others have, as per photos. Lovely quiet place, very nice history too. No signal, but who needs it really. Need own loo roll. Follow us on insta @twoguysvanlife

Beware - the road leading up is 5km of dirt, not gravel. Meaning even a light rain turns it into slick, sticky mud real quick. An afternoon's worth of drizzle made the approach unfeasible for our RWD vans. Just glad I was unable to get in rather than the opposite.
