Very basic but in a tranquil place. Owner super nice and accepted us quite late on Saturday. No shower but a shed for cooking with plugs to charge your things. The garden with ponds is lovely place for a lunch or breakfast;)

Us and the elements here! Very basic camp with quirky cafe. No shower, no fire pit and only one plastic chair to sit on in the shed/lounge/kitchen but there is power available, a (cold water) washing machine and outdoor clothesline. Toilet stall only, no mirror or change room. Some road noise but nice outlook over the old Coal Pit/Lake and Garden Walks with a few Mining Relics. The owner has caught some cute baby ducks and their distressed mother and put them in a smallish aviary, to supposedly protect them from predators. Some of the ducklings were quite large. Several parrots in the cage too. We tried our first NZ cheese rolls in the cafe!

Extremely friendly and helpful owners. Good food decently priced. Beautiful gardens. Many cool things in the little shop.
