Description
Freedom camping permitted in CERTIFIED SELF-CONTAINED VEHICLES ONLY. This site is located beside Lake Ohau and Lake Middleton. There is space for a maximum of 2 campervans.
Maximum stay of three consecutive nights. Camping within 20 metres of the lake shore is prohibited.
Take all rubbish with you and leave no trace.
Keep New Zealand clean. Always use the toilet in your vehicle or a public toilet.

Something that I'll never understand ... this campsite is SMALL. If you read the description it says « place for 2 CAMPERVANS ». we arrived today around 3pm, parked our van in the spot. Another camper was there so we really put a distance so they can have their privacy and we too. Until another came with tourist couple and parked right on the middle ... so now we are close together like fish in a can: beautiful ! Specially with everything happening in the world right now it would be great if you could respect other by respecting there privacy... oh, and there is other freecamp further ...

The best place near Pukaki. Directly at the beach. Great view over the Lake. No Sandflies!!!
