Beautiful space worth the drive! Toilet separate from the hut- it's on the edge of former campsites just in front of the Hut. Peaceful and the Hut has a sink, table and stove with plenty of cones to burn. Bring lighter just in case.

Amazing campground in the wilderness. We went there with a 2wd station wagon and river crossings were no problem (during dry period though). The hut is well maintained and provides running water, table, a cozy fireplace, benches and a beanbag chair.

We came down in our 1997, 2WD Hiace. Got through what we thought were the two creeks easily enough, with little rain recently. Then got to Rock Creek about 3 minutes from the campground and no way in hell. Honestly and sadly wouldn't risk it in my home on wheels. If it was a trickle or similar to the much smaller creeks yes, but no, not this one. Guess it's pot luck really.
