The view from the isite to campsite is one of the best I have seen in NZ. Plenty of ice mountains and lakes all along the road, even though it's gravel but in very good condition. And the campsite is in the middle of nowhere, very quiet, will come back again definitely!!

The spot itself, it's a bit disapointing after you came the 25km dirtroad thrue the beautiful valleys. If you want to spend the day on the lakes in the area or with some hikes, good enough for the night. Basic campsite, with clean toilet. May a bit muddy with rain.

Lovely campsite. Perfect to start hiking on Mount Cotton. Enough space, not busy even though more cars drive to Lake Coleridge then I expected. Toilet is longdrop and ok. But no toilet paper so bring your own. If you want to stay more then one night contact trust power. Address in photo. Would come back.
