Description

Downies Hut in the Matakitaki Valley appears to be the second oldest wooden hut on DOC-managed land in the Nelson/Marlborough region. There are no fees. Bookings not required - first come, first served. Facilities include heating, mattresses, non-flush toilets and water from a stream. Altitude: 530 m above sea level.
