Open now. You just need to open the gate.Quite big grassy area, sheltered with huge pine trees. Can be very muddy because the area doesnt see often the sun. 2 wooden tables, long drop toilets and little sink with drinkable water. (You need to open the tank in women toilets.)

What a gem this spot is! Plenty of shade, sweet creek for a dip, mellow bug scene (very few biters,) bountiful birdsong and just a 15 min walk to the Inn for a nice meal. Carefully drive around corner and up little hill for total privacy in densely forested area with the falling trees hazard warning sign...well worth the risk!

Great spot! Stayed here last night. All on our lonesome which is always lovely. Nice spot! Definitely not huge. We wouldn't want to bring anything bigger than a small/medium sized motorhome or camper-trailer at a push in here, low branches, narrow road and lack of turning space, depending on other campers parking. But that's just us. Drop-loos. Tap water (needs boiling before use) and a lil stream for a dip. We nipped into Dansey Pass Hotel beforehand for lunch and free WiFi use. Nice pub! Nice food! The pointer on here is correct, on NZMCA app, it's just at the entrance. Find us on Instagram if you like @saltyskin Happy Travels
