Lovely spot, perfect for an early start to the blue pools. View is best from the 2nd and 3rd Terrace. Awesome sky if it is dry and clear, stars and milkyway are beautiful. More on Instagram @projektneuseeland

Stayed here last night, as did a couple others. Really, really quiet night and great views over the Cameron and Blue Valley. Clean loos, sandflies as expecting and no phone signal. Plenty of space and just over the road from the Blue Pools, which were, alright. Keep it clean, keep it beautiful. Happy and safe travels all! Find us on Instagram if you're about @saltyskin

Beautiful view from campsite, walk to the blue pools is a must (walk starts from car park across the road). Toilets were clean (long drop). As other reviews mention, sandflies here can be quite bad. Suggest insect repellent and some insect mesh/screens on the windows to keep the bugs out :) no cellphone reception here
