Normally a great place to stay. Right by the beach and very quiet. Hardly any traffic on the road. At the moment ( August ) it's very muddy and not many vehicles can park up without getting stuck.

Pretty small spot but not overcrowded in January. Toilet is ok as far as these public toilets go. Rubbish bins also. Direct access to the beach. Saw someone fishing so the sea must be bountiful. Just an overnight stop for me. Very scenic area with kakanui nearby which has a few little shops. Close to oamaru too. I'd recommend a pit stop here if you are near oamaru. It's a great little free camp.
