For $15 per person, you've got 10 times more facilities than in a DoC campsite ! Sometimes, I don't understand how prices are determined ! But thanks DoC for sharing this little piece of heaven with us !

6 hours walk from Duncan Bay or 4 hours walk from Kaiuma bay (but seemed more interesting from Duncan bay). Amazing lodge, 50 bunks in 9 rooms, big kitchen with gas stoves and all the cooking ustensils you need, hot showers, electricity a few hours a day, very quiet and peaceful place.

DoC changed the rules so it's not possible to stay here without previous booking and not possible to pay only for 1 bunk. You must reserve whole room now, even if you're just yourself, which is not so cheap as it was in the past. But still: you have all the comfort mentioned bellow and Nydia Track is awesome, so recommended!
