Did the McIntosh loop. If you start right away from the car park, then you do it anticlockwise automatically. Means you will have to pass the buckle burn river after 5km- ish. There is a danger sign for that river - take it seriously! You will get wet 100%. Check with the doc website how to cross a river and what you need to consider (depth, velocity, clarity etc). Walk a little up the river and find a suitable spot to cross for you. I took my shoes off and did it barefoot. Water depth at my position was a little below the knee. I had poles with me which help to stabilize while crossing. Beware sandflies are there. Amazing views, but the descending was a pain. Very steep and then walking through swamps. Did it in 6,5h without hurrying and included snack break.

Do the Mt McIntosh Loop ! It was ineffably beautiful. It had the perfect mixture of adventure and relaxation for me. Took me about 5 hours and a bit, with a (40 minutes) stop at the hut.

I did the Mc Intoch loop this morning, it's quite good until tte jonction but after that, be ready to get your feet wet.. The track is wet at some part and you need to cross a stream..(4m wide)The way down is really steep and sleepery.. I did it in 5hours with a good pace.. :)
