Experience the spectacular Marlborough Sounds whilst walking or biking the Queen Charlotte Track. The track stretches 70 km from historic Meretoto/Ship Cove through to Anakiwa in the Grove Arm of Queen Charlotte Sound. 71 km one way. Walking and tramping 3-5 days. Mountain biking is a great alternative to walking the Queen Charlotte track. Biking is permitted on the track all year round except for the section between Meretoto/Ship Cove and Kenepuru Saddle, which is closed to bikes over the busy summer season, from 1 December to 28 February each year. No dogs.

Nice walk to Davies Bay, about 45 minutes one way! You can continue on after that, but will need to purchase a pass. We saw a lot of nesting Shags and their babies and also a few seals playing together. Highly recommend!

Nice walk under the trees and bushes, you don't have a full view on the sound, for that wait until you reach the first bay which is aslo a camp! Amazing view, really nice beach, camping 6$ .The walk is free until that first bay, if you want to walk further you have to buy a pass about 10$ per personn.30/45 mn until that first bay/lookout

Great walk until the first lookout : 3h return little bit muddy
