Description

Porters Lodge has comfortable, bunk-style family accommodation set against a beautiful mountain backdrop. We have a fully licenced bar with the best craft beer selection in Castle Hill and serve freshly cooked hot meals and snacks in the restaurant. We are nestled at the base of Porters Ski Area in the Craigieburn range, so perfectly located whether you're here for the skiing, biking, hiking, the stunning views or simply passing by. Drop in and say hello, enjoy a bite to eat and a cold drink, or maybe an awesome Underground Coffee to go to get you back on the road! Porters Lodge can host self-contained campervans or mobile homes with the addition of four powered sites and we can also host unpowered sleeper vans, and these can be booked online. Guests in campervans can use the Lodge's shower & bathroom facilities, WiFi, as well as get hot meals and drinks from Bar & Restaurant. There is a strict limit on the number of overnight campervans, so booking is recommended. Spaces will otherwise be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The Porters Lodge is powered during the day by a generator with backup storage batteries providing 24/7 power, however we cannot support high wattage electric heating on the powered sites. Be aware that the nearest dump stations are at Arthurs Pass 68km to the West or Springfield 27km to the East so consider this before you come on to the Mountain.
