DUE TO PROBLEMS WITH THE TOILETS THIS SITE IS CURRENTLY OPEN FOR SELF-CONATINED VEHICLES ONLY.
Westland District Council designated responsible freedom camping site at the Otira Hotel on State Highway 73. Freedom camping is permitted in both self-contained and non self-contained vehicles. Max stay of 2 consecutive nights and no more than 10 nights per 30 day period. The camping area is a large gravel area between the Hotel and the Art Gallery. There are toilets and bins on site.
