Description
This is a standard 4-bunk hut located in Nelson Lakes National Park in the Nelson Lakes area. Fees apply. Bookings not required - first come, first served.
Facilities include mattresses, non-flush toilets and water from a stream. Altitude: 1160 m above sea level.
Getting there
Tiraumea Hut: 3 hr
D'Urville Hut: 5 hr
Before you go, buy 1 Standard Hut Ticket (blue for adults, yellow for youth) for each night's stay. Put this in the honesty box at the hut. Or buy a Backcountry Hut Pass that gives unlimited use at most Standard and Serviced huts for a 6 or 12-month period.
