Description
This is a basic four-bunk hut located in Takitimu Conservation Area in the Southland area. There are no fees. Bookings not required - first come, first served.
Facilities include heating, mattresses, non-flush toilets and water (not treated - boil before use).
Access from Ohai to Lower Wairaki Hut is only possible through Beaumont Station, phone +64 3 931 9858.
