Description

Large gravel parking area next to the Otago Central Rail Trail. Freedom camping permitted in CERTIFIED SELF-CONTAINED VEHICLES ONLY. There is a grassed area with picnic tables. he Lauder Railway Station building was hauled 400m by crane and truck from a private Lauder property and placed beside the Otago Central Rail Trail.The building previously lay there from 1904 to 1985, until it was sold to a Lauder resident when the station shut down. Self-contained vehicles must clearly display NZS5465:2001 certification. Take all rubbish with you and leave no trace. Keep New Zealand clean. Always use the toilet in your vehicle or a public toilet.
