Great free camping spot! Stayed here one night and there were plenty of others but the main crowds gathered around the toilets. The further down you go the quieter it gets. Heaps of space and nice scenery!

Human poo and used toilet paper is everywhere. I counted 6 fresh poos in just one night. It's a beautiful lake however, and it's free. Just choose your camping spot carefully.

What a great spot and so close to Mt Cook (45 min.) and Lake Tekapo (37 min.). Also, super quiet at night and lots of space. Clean drop toilets, which did not even smell. Everyone was super nice and we felt safe. Best spot for a night.
