Rustic, but beautiful. There is a shower block, but no shower and no water. We took a splendid walk around the lake, went for a swim, and took in the stars in this place which is part of the dark sky reserve. It is pricey (20) for what they give you — no power, no water, and a very smelly outhouse without toilet paper. But the remoteness and lack of neighbors was worth it!

I didn't stay here last night as there were no up-to-date reviews, little info provided on price, etc and few other nearby options if this one didn't work out. So I drove up today to take a look. It's $10 daily rate (into the honesty box) for anyone without the $90 annual membership (I'll upload pictures of the signage) and there is plenty of space there - a lot does look better for vehicle camping but there were people there in a tent who said it was fine and they felt safe there. Picnic area, cooking bench, and toilets provided. Nice view of the lakes and lots of bird species about. So it's still a campsite, still open, somewhere I would stay next time I'm in the area, and when I have more internet I'll get those pictures up so you can find out more :)
