Benmore Views Family Camp is nestled on the shores of Lake Benmore, 22kms from Twizel. Enjoy our sunny, sheltered camp sites, with the lake on your doorstep. Bring your caravan or tent and stay for or a night or two, or a week or two. Or better still, with a season ticket (Sept to April) you can come and go as much as you like. We have flush toilets and the only hot showers available to campers anywhere on the lake. We have flush toilets and hot showers (coin-operated). Our spacious camp has plenty of caravan and tent sites. All sites are non-powered. We have our own Concrete Boat Ramp, located immediately between the camp and the lake. There is no charge for the use of this ramp. Water is piped through the camp from our Stream. It is beautiful mountain stream water, but boiling is required before drinking. Campers camping along the lake front between the two cattle stops need to have their own portable toilets. These can be emptied at the camps dump station, which is beside the lower toilet block. Campers in this area are reminded that they are responsible for the disposal of their own rubbish. Available sites along the waterfront are limited. Permission needs to be sought before setting up camp in this area. Dogs are permitted so long as they are kept on a lead while inside the camp, and so long as they pose no threat or inconvenience to other campers or livestock. All dogs must be dosed for Hydatids prior to arrival.
