Description
From the car park (free parking) walk about 5oo metres along the footpath to the bridge over the Otumuheke stream. The Thermal stream and bridge are on the edge of the Waikato river and is the start of the popular walk to Huka Falls
Under the bridge the water comes from the stream hot and mixes with the Waikato river water. There are small rock pools under the bridge that people sit in depending on how hot they want their fresh water soak.
For those visiting the beautiful natural spring please respect the environment. This is not a public place to have a bath/wash but a public soak hole. Take your rubbish with you.

One of my favourite places in nz, so nice to relax in the hot pools then refresh in the river! Went here every night in Taupo Him: Please take your rubbish. We're so lucky to have this place to relax for free. The park is really nice! Gate shut at 8pm, if you come after you can walk 5minutes towards the pools

This place change so much in 4y. There is a big pipe in the middle of the river make it ugly as possible. Thanksfully this is still a Maori land council cant charge us.
