Victor who is manager out there great guy. Falls are amazing and I am not one to really chase waterfalls. Great lake. Whole area would be insane for trout fishing. Abundance of trout there. Didn'tsee a single other person on the track.

$5 per vehicle from the Kawerau information center. Then 30min ish to one of the car park, gravel road is alright if you slow down (70 limit) The waterfall is cool. Can continue along the track to see the river disappearing underground and reappearing - don't take the short cut as you will miss this bit. Find the natural swimming pool 15min later on the track to the outlet, nice and fresh.
