Nice walk through native bush, feels really remote and wild, but still easy track. It is possible to do a 3h loop from DOC campsite passing around hydro powerplant. Last part, approx 1h is on the road, so not as nice. Please note that until the end of April 2017 it is not officialy permited to do the loop as a waterbridge near powerplant is closed.
