The Castle Point light was one of the last manned lights to be established in New Zealand.
The lighthouse is accessible to the public, however there is no public access to enter the lighthouse.

Beautiful. Can be very windy.

Unfortunately this place has been ruined by fishing ships and rednecks in pickup trucks driving on the beach, disrespecting nature. See photos. Our biggest disappointment in NZ.
