Description
Cape Palliser Lighthouse is located on the south eastern side of the Wairarapa coast, a couple of hours drive from Wellington City.
Cape Palliser lighthouse is accessible to the public. It can be reached on foot from the road end at Cape Palliser. There is no public access to enter the lighthouse
The keepers' houses can be seen from beside the lighthouse steps. They are now both privately owned.
No camping or overnight parking.

Beautiful to watch the sunrise. You can climb over the fence and go a few meters higher to get a view into both directions.
