Although $50 is a bit pricy, you won't find it much cheaper around hahei and the campground is really nice. It was not busy when we were there, but the toilets were clean, showers very nice (the 50 cents go to charity) and they even have some extra facilities downstairs and further up the campground. Staff was really friendly and chatty and the lounge area felt like home. Brewery next door does amazing tasters :)

A garbage truck that empties the containers at 6.30 am and the regional bus that stops on the campground. Ridiculous! The amenities are limited (only two showers and two toilets). They charge 50 dollar for an unpowered tent site plus 50 cents for the shower. Take care the shower also works without donating the 50 cents. The campground is very close to the highway, so do not expect quietness. No free wifi (this is 2020!) and almost no Spark connectivity. There is no reason that justifies 50 dollar for a below average camping. So 2 star rating only

Friendly staff, clean toilets. Nice having the brewery next door for a feed and the kids to have a run around on the playground in site. Will be back again
