Description
Kaupokonui beach camp is a tranquil & peaceful place to stay, great fishing spot, cabins, powered and non powered, all amenities.
There are two kitchens, one at either end of the campground. A spacious one alongside the office, with plenty of appliances - fridge and freezers, ovens, hobs, microwave, electric fry pans and plenty of cooking utensils. A compact kitchen is located near the entrance to the campground.
Female, male and disabled facilities are available, all with hot showers.
Our on-site laundry has 2 coin-operated washing machines and driers. Our campground clothes line can be used for drying and airing as well.
A selection of groceries, milk, pies, hot chips, drinks, ice blocks and ice can be purchased at the campground shop. Particularly in the weekends and when it is sunny the shop is open from 9am till 8pm.

Great place for families. You don't need anything else for your holidays than this. Friendly staff, very clean facilities, free hot shower. Endless sandy beach, flat river with a bridge to swim, great playground. Nothing to hear at night except for the ocean. Highly recommended.

Nice place. May playgroubds for kids. Close to the beach. View to the taranaki. So windy in late Dec.

Awesome place. Calm and beautiful. In the middle of nowhere. Clean facilities, good big kitchen with everything you'll need. Second small kitchen. Good warm shower. Dumping point. Beautiful black sand beach. Black sand dunes. Next to River ending in Ocean. Lovely playground and BBQ area. Helpful lady. Thanks a lot. Cabins available as well. We would love to stay several days as it is one of the most beautiful places we ever camped. Only downside, no mobile reception
