Drove up today- December 2nd- all campsites north of DOC visitors centre / shag stream are closed due to heavy weather water damage. And road is closed as well so no way to get there either. Check DOC site before going.

Nice camp in the middle of the nature ! Few walks starting from the camp. The river flowing at the back is peaceful and perfect for a dip in the morning to get the day started !

Pretty good, quiet and close to yhe Pinnacles hike. Few sandflies but good spot for camping
