Road has been graded and in good condition. A good 15 minutes hike through a paddock to a wild beach. Toilets and water available

Really worth the gravel road drive, which is in good condition atm. Right near river, toilet, shade or sun to choose from. Quiet.

Drive in is fine, even in late June. Dirt but well graded, and (thankfully) not corrugated. One small sealed section past the cattle station. Caution, escaped sheep. Had one dart out from the Pampas bushes. It was a completely empty site, just after Matariki. It's a DOC Basic level campsite. Two long drop toilets and a sink/water area. Also a couple of water taps within the camping area. Toilets are as expected, and even odour free. Just plenty of dead bugs. BYO TP. Spark 4G reception is only just available in the eastern corner near the track sign (1-2 bars). Track to beach is unclear, and appears largely unmarked, however once across the stile you can see the ocean so it's just a matter of finding your way there.
