This hut is situated at 1,940 m on Fanthams Peak. During winter conditions, you'll need alpine climbing experience and suitable equipment to reach this hut. Check with the Taranaki/Egmont National Park Visitor Centre for current conditions. 10 bunks available on first come, first serve basis. There is no heating in the hut.
