Description
This all modes and vehicle-based campground is a large open area alongside the Puhoi River Estuary. It is surrounded by plantings that split the campground into smaller camping bays. Phutukawa trees are scattered throughout the campground.
The Wenderholm Beach is approximately 1.5 km by road from the campground.
Go through main park entrance, turn left at the campground automatic gate and follow the signs to the campground - approximately 750 meters on the right.
You will need a combination code to open the access gate - we will send you the combination code with your booking confirmation.
The campground and the park are not accessible after park main gate closing times. The combination codes will not open the main park entrance gate.
Amenities include toilets, drinking water and rubbish bins. All sites are unpowered.
There is a maximum stay of 7 nights.
Fires prohibited at all times.
Dogs are prohibited at all times.

Beautiful campsite, easy to access, and plenty of space for everyone. Right by the riverside with tons of walks around the area. Quiet and comfortable, I feel right at home here. Highly recommended!!

This is an amazing campsite. Clean flushable toilets with sinks to wash hands outside. Quite a bit of space but can get pretty crowded so make sure to reserve your spot online. Gorgeous views of the river inlet with hills and trees in the background. A short 10 minute walk takes you to Wenderholm Regional Park that offers various short tracks and a stunning view if you make your way to the top. Lots of birdlife to keep you entertained as well.

MAKE A RESERVATION BEFORE YOU ARRIVE! i was on the phone for 30 min trying to get the code for the gate... But very very nice campsite. Clean toilets and sinks with running water and super nice area with the river/ lake :) and phone reception. would recommend :)
