Beautiful spot to stop. Awesome surroundings although the track to the pinnacles was washed out near the start we had to get out our gumboots to cross the river in a few spots luckily it was lower in places but definitely worth the effort. We had one bar on mobile 4G and our NetSpeed Wifi worked perfectly. Bring dry firewood if you want a fire we tried for a hour or so to get one going with what was laying around but it was too wet from previous rain. The drive to the cape lighthouse was amazing so many adult and baby seals scattered everywhere just sleeping and soaking up the sun.

There is cell phone reception on 2D in the right spots here. Grass areas to camp and also some gravel spots to park on when it's wet. Was busy with walkers when we arrived but only 4 or so vehicles overnight. Really nice spot.

Big campground, tonne of space. Standard DOC site and fees. Came here for the walk - did not stay.
