Description
Designated Freedom Camping Sites within the Hauraki District. The carpark is located on Marshall Street, Paeroa.
Carparks available for one overnight stay - only to be used between the hours of 6pm Friday evening and 7pm Sunday evening.
Power is NOT available.
Camping in a vehicle only. Tents are not permitted.
Please note: The car park that was traditionally used as overflow parking is now fenced. However, visitors can park in the adjoining car park (see map in photos).
Council have not put up any signage just yet as they are undergoing a Freedom Camping bylaw review at the moment and will be waiting to hear back from public submissions on the matter, although they don't expect any changes to the current situation.

This is no more a freecamp but a private carpark for council with fences. There is no toilet.

Campground has a fence around now and closes for the weekend (so said a very nice local lady to us) . Hence no way to park overnight here.
