Description
Matakana Country Park is a privately owned 50-acre estate, located just one hour north of Auckland. There are nine motor campervan parks overlooking a beautiful Matakana vineyard.

The Park hosts a wide range of family-friendly activities (not to mention plenty of parking). From the animal experience, miniature ride-on train and an adventure playground. If shopping is your thing, explore the Craft shop for souvenirs, Matakana Art Gallery, and John Crockett Goldsmith.
Start your day with breakfast at Bramble cafe and finish with a dinner at the famous Stables Restaurant or refresh at Smith's Bar.

Enter from 11 Takatu Road, NOT via the main entrance. Each camp has a separate bay surrounded by grass. Walk through past stables to park's main craft shops and bars. Long walk to far end of car parking near church to use shower and toilets. A lot of traffic noise during the day, but nice and quiet at night. Good central location for exploring the local area.
