Honestly one of my fav camps in NZ. Stayed the max 3 days because it's so lovely... watched the sunrise everyday and fell asleep under the stars. Watching the local surfers was really fun! Only 15 minutes away from Gisborne and it's close to the road so a bit noisy but it didn't bother us too much. One flush toilet but no hand soap. Follow on the gram :)

Beautiful spot to wake up to the sunrise over the surf. Then later you can meander up the road a little and park underneath a big shady pohutakawa for the day and enjoy a stunning beach. Pity it isn't a little more sheltered from the road noise but good to have rubbish bins, picnic tables and a flushing loo. Stayed in mid December weekend and was pretty mellow, only a few others.
